I had previously talked about two books: Learning Intelligence by Pierluigi Piazzi and Scientific Method Within Everyone’s Reach by Celicina Borges Azevedo.

Now I have a third book to make our world better: The Six Lessons by Ludwig von Mises.

Mises, the greatest representative of the Austrian school of economics, discusses subjects considered complex in a simple way that is accessible to everyone.

He covers the subjects while always demonstrating historical failures from the past so that we do not have to go through them again.

For a long time, I had been looking for a book with the following characteristics:

It discussed a universal topic.
The subject was important enough to have a positive impact on people’s lives.
It could be read by people of all ages, from 8 to 80 or older.

While searching, I began to wonder whether such a book really existed. Fortunately, the answer is yes. And there isn’t just one book. So far, there are two books that fit the profile:

I attended a talk by Carlos Alberto Júlio at the Convention Center in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, on the same subject as his book. In the book, he explores in greater depth how we can adapt and maintain our employability and satisfaction in today’s world. His advice is nicely seasoned with his life story: he went through a time of reflection and anxiety because of an illness that could have been serious, but fortunately wasn’t, and that allowed him to reinvent himself and share his experience with us.
