Entrepreneurship: Never Confuse Reputation with Status

entrepreneurship

It is very important to demystify these two terms, because, as you will see below, status is an entrepreneur’s self-saboteur.

Status

Status is like a crystal goblet, with indescribable beauty and seductive curves, but when you least expect it, it falls from the table, breaks, cuts your foot, and cuts the foot of the person beside you.

Enough of fantasy, imitation, and plasticized life. None of this improves our lives or those of our community in the slightest.

Not even the slightest dependence on status can provide any substantial benefit. Status is synonymous with nothing: without substance, inertia, empty, tasteless, meaningless. Anyway, I think I have already gotten the message across.

Reputation

It consists of seeking coherence between your ideas and actions. It consists of focusing your actions on something that can benefit yourself and your neighbor. It consists of keeping your promises. Do not promise what you cannot fulfill. Show yourself to the world with your qualities and faults, because no one expects us to be perfect; they expect us to be genuine.

It consists of separating the wheat from the chaff. Focusing on reputation is not synonymous with being a workaholic (addicted to work), but with balancing your life with moments of leisure. Focusing on reputation means knowing your limits and respecting them, knowing your problems and overcoming them, not settling for the surface, and going deeper to discover the origin of the problem.

The secret of a successful entrepreneur is to focus only on reputation. Focus on contributing to others by solving their problems.
