If you continue with the bad habit of thinking that the government is to blame for your problems, start reconsidering that thought—or I warn you: do not enter the field of entrepreneurship, because complaining and blaming others is one of the greatest self-saboteurs a human being can have.
If the person wants to open their own business, it will be a business that is born with a compromised foundation. In other words, in any crisis it is doomed to fail.
Try to understand that our society and our leaders are a mirror of each one of us, including you and me. If society is our mirror, the only way for the image to become more aligned is when we take responsibility for our individual growth.
This time the message is short, but very important: If you are thinking of becoming an entrepreneur, be aware that you must take 100% responsibility for what happens in your life, regardless of what happens outside.
I also remind you that 100% responsibility cannot be a phrase spoken without meaning; it has to be something transparent in your actions, a conviction.
I suggest the following path to reach that conviction:
- Start reflecting on the subject. Do you complain a lot? Have your complaints brought you any benefit? Of course the answer to the last question is no, but do this exercise anyway.
- Once you conclude that your complaints do not solve your problems and that people are distancing themselves from you, focus your conversations on subjects you do not usually complain about; focus on subjects you and your friends enjoy. Do this for a while, until you are ready to deal with the key subjects that trigger your aversion.
- With the key subjects—the ones that upset you suddenly and unexpectedly—try to look from another angle; reflect on the situation by putting yourself in the other person’s place.
- Keep practicing the previous item until you acquire 100% conviction. This conviction of responsibility is the entrepreneur’s foundation; until you have it, you will always remain the person who dreams of becoming an entrepreneur but never made the effort.
The decision is yours. Climb the ladder of responsibility as soon as possible.
